SQUARESPACE / 2021

Scheduling Platform

Squarespace Scheduling, previously Acuity, allows customers the ability to offer appointment booking on their websites. In 2021, Scheduling began a large scale re-design to align legacy experiences and styles with Squarespace’s brand and UX patterns. At the same time we introduced several features to improve the overall functionality for our users.

I was the lead designer on this team, responsible for all admin-facing interfaces within the Scheduling experience.

Results
During my time on Scheduling, we launched several large features that contributed to increased usage from existing Scheduling users.

Features & Improvements

SMS Reminders

One of the most impactful features we launched on Scheduling was giving users the ability to send programmable text reminders to their clients.

Calendars

The largest effort we undertook was redesigning the Availability (renamed Calendar) experience, where users create and manage schedules for their employees and locations.

Client List

Updating our client list table gave users a more detailed view of their clients and their respective appointments. We also used this opportunity to introduce more robust sorting, filtering, and contact sharing.

Appointment Add-ons

Allowing users to add products to their client transactions meant opening up a world of possibilities for increasing revenue. This feature allowed users to sell longer session times, physical goods, and bonus consultations.

Coupons

This redesign allowed our product team to consolidate multiple legacy coupon types and create a singular place for users to create discount tokens.
